Nana Patekar is an Indian actor, screenwriter, filmmaker, and former Indian Territorial Army officer.

He is known as one of the finest and most influential actors in Indian Cinema, having received three National Film Awards, four Filmfare Awards, and two Filmfare Awards for his performances.

He was also recognized for his contribution to the arts.

After debuting in Bollywood with the 1978 film Gaman, Patekar appeared in several Marathi and Bollywood films.

His performance in the crime drama Parinda earned him the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.

He made his directorial debut with Prahaar: The Final Attack.
