Haji Mastan or Sultan Mirza, originally from Tamil Nadu, was an Organised crime gang leader.
In Bombay for over two decades from the 1960s to the early 1980s, he was a gang leader along with the leader of the Pathan gang and Varadarajan Mudaliar.
Mastan was recognized for his shrewd business acumen.
He maintained close friendships with various individuals, such as Bal Thackeray, and worked towards fostering peace among rival gangs.
