George Timothy Clooney is an American actor.

He has won several awards, including a British Academy Film Award, four Golden Globe Awards, and two Academy Awards.

Clooney has also been honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award, the César, the Life Achievement Award, and the Kennedy Center honors.

Starting his career in television as a doctor, Doug Ross received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his work on ER.

Clooney's breakthrough role in From Dusk till Dawn was followed by Batman & Robin, Out of Sight, Three Kings, The Perfect Storm, and O Brother, Where Art Thou?

He also had a starring role in Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's film series from 2001 to 2007.

Clooney made his directorial debut with the spy drama Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and has since directed several films, including Good Night, And Good Luck, The Ides of March, The Monuments Men, and The Midnight Sky.

For his performance in the film Syriana, Clooney won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and also received nominations for Best Actor for Up in the Air and The Descendants.
